Sorry for the late update but I finally BEAT Chulip 100% my thoughts on it:
I love this game like it was made from my rib, I love listening into the residents stories, they felt weirdly like realistic personal issues being played out in a puppet show style, I love the game mechanics of learning their routine to kiss them and the starchy puzzle solving that comes with it, every kiss feels like a exhaling after holding in your breath, it's so rewarding.
I have a few gripes however, if you die after a cut scene; it plays out in it's entirety each time, it can get super annoying that's one of the reasons I put a pause on my first run, and it only got worse during the last stretch of the game. the puzzles can get WEIRDDD it's super necessary to use a guide when you are stuck.. underground residents are troubling but it's less annoying than guessing when it's the right time to backtrack after completing a kiss or a puzzle LOL. I haven't learned how to run so I've done this 100% only walking... but that is NOT the games fault that is a ME error. but other than that; I love love this game so much and unfortunately I don't see myself losing interest for a while.

I'm a big fan of this type of puzzle adventure genre and I plan on playing more Onion Games! I've already started on Moon, and hope to play Stray Children soon. Please whoever is reading this; please play these games. they're the most irritating fun I've ever had.

Everyone hate Julie's cooking except for Plum and Michelle. from everyone else's testimony "it's burnt on the outside and raw in the inside". they've even called for her death because of her cooking...

barely any of the residents takes a shower because they're scared of being ridiculed by Leo.

Julie used to be an amazing singer, which makes her relationship with goro seem perfect since they're both artists. it's so unfortunate what happened after money issues. Cheapot Is the chief of her fanclub, Batayan is a huge fan of goro's work. and wished to collab with Julie someday, I get it, her singing is beautiful. but I know how she feels about Batayan..

no one but Batayan knows how old Mrs. Plum is.

Mr. Cheapot is super important to everyone in town.. turns out he was around the same age as Julie and Goro. I thought he's be a lot older.

• The Last Trial was so troubling cause damn I really didn't learn much of the Residents until the end, so I wasn't able to soak up much of the information.. please love all of them they're so important and beautiful.
• Jigsaw made my life so easy by placing the piece he needed RIGHT infront of me, if it didn't look different from the rest...
• Don't speak to me about the Alien... it was the most weirdest puzzles i've ever had to do, also don't worry about having to collect a shit ton of money by grinding, by the time you're done with FBF you'll have enough. please don't waste it on the permanent ticket
• Make a list of everything the npcs tell you about each other, also count how many chickens are in julies coop, Last trial was rewarding when I remember 16/20 things that THING asks. but still so tricky and nerve wrecking..
• MAKE A NEW LOVE LETTER AT THE END. PLEASE.

Technically.. I did this during the 4th and 5th day I'm sorry for lying.. but also If you forget how much adventure games back then really needed you to backtrack then you'll understand why it took me so long LOL

okay uh Batayan got fired by me but he still thanked me and I finally got to kiss him, WOOWWIEE! the saying is real! money can't buy happiness! he's still gets teased by the townsfolk for being a street performing bum, but y'know, glad he's happy.

and a worker kissed me for the same reason? more kisses more experience heh.

Julie and goro made up and I got a kiss from it!

I healed Mr Hoichi but it turns out Bell was an actual human bell, it made me confuse cause bell was freaking out about it, I'm pretty sure bells are bad spirits that were sealed into the large courtyard bell, but Mr Hoichi saw her as this kind kind spirit and took her under his wing, that's super sweet, I hope they live happily in the temple now. and.. sorry for ringing the bell :P

Michelle was apart of a cult that was frustrating her to the core. what I thought it was is; eggplant boy had something to do with it based on memory. but it was actually AN eggplant. her cult didn't allow the consumption of eggplants.

• I understand why everyone hates funny bone factory as soon as I saw the underground resident holes during my third visit to fire batayan..

• Michelle had me at a wild goose chase but if you're lost esp when a character tells you to stop doing something. just sneak when people aren't looking.
• I healed dr handy after finally getting the STUPID BLUE FROG, also no need for the sleepaupple apparently that's a fraud… you need the popsicle from plum, how in the world does that make sense…
• BTW backtracking is also needed. please backtrack EVERYWHERE please talk to everyone please buy "your card" and replace it with most of the townsfolk. 11 of them.
• your dad is your biggest reminder. please check the news.

Third day run of chulip 100% now I'm starting to pick up the pace story wise.. I feel closer to the end though.. this'll last a while cause this game is very very long because of it's time mechanic, it's just a lot of waiting

I'm sorry for ragging on goro I understand him with an artistic eye, he just wanted to be a popular film director but he put hobbies over responsibilities and ended up bumming off of his wife Julie. so Julie in her own mind; believed tossing his old film reels would restore her partner's will, but this act made him more reckless and depressed.

like man I feel sorry for him cause I get it, aspirations can get in the way of building stability and before you know it; after all that hard work; you realized you haven't made any progress since you've started.

but also I literally saw this guy chuck a bottle at Julie's head during an argument and called me unfit for his sweet potatoes.. Like this ugly guy is NUTTY.

Chulip is a game about Strengthening your heart by kissing towns people, so you could win over your crush.

This is my second run of the game and I plan on documenting it. for fun!
My last Playthrough was just me struggling over puzzles and dying multiple times; losing 30 minutes of progress 6 times LOL. but then I remembered a character I really liked.. sighsss I still need to kiss him!! and so I decided I was gonna actually 100% the game this time using only my memory from the last playthrough.

Michelle hates Batayan or just finds him super annoying.. I'm not sure, but she likes to push his donation can and he stops digging through trash when he sees her..

Goro is a total bum!! Like. Belly popping undershirt alcoholic.. he's a retired film director that lives with his wife Julie, who runs the bar in their tiny home. his daughter used to be an actor in some of his movies if not most.. but she ran away, unsurprising!

Michelle is apart of a cult where you complain into a pot..called the complaipot or something, she has some solid morals but why do I have to complain to her instead of inside the pot...

Goro after being shown batayan's card encourages him to continue his musician dream. no need for a job.. even though batayan really wants employment.. that's so sweet.. bum.

our teacher had a fight with another teacher about the debt.. out of spite that teacher stole a really valuable letter set that he was gonna give to us to write to our crush...

Dr. Dandy runs around stealing blood at night.. we gotta cure him to kiss him.

It has taken me several rough drafts to write this one blog, so I hope you know what type of person I am before you even read what I have to say.

I'm not a writer, my sentences are sloppy and it probably feels like reading what a twitter-head thinks 'intelligence' sounds like. I doubt this would give you the incentive to keep checking up on my blog. AND That's okay!!!!!; I just need a place to ramble, whether it be about videogames, social media, or just.. Poorly written analysis on topics I enjoy.

I archived half the writing in this cause it sounded too venty sorry! but to go over.

I'm 21 and I am stable but unsure of what I should do now in my journey, I am a contributor to the axolotl sun now as a 3d prop modeller for their cinematic shorts: SnS 2&3.

I'm learning how to make games/stories though in reality I just wanted to make a source mod LAWL!!!
